The Cinque Terre, included in 1997 among the UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a major tourist attractions of the Riviera and of Liguria in general.

One of the most pristine natural areas of the Mediterranean, of Liguria and the Tyrrhenian coast, appointed Nationwide Park order to protect flora and fauna and the rocky coast conformation, are a jagged coastline of the eastern Ligurian Riviera situated in the province La Spezia characterized by a hilly course rough and rugged, tempered by construction of terraces or groups of cultivation, which falls into the blue sea with steep slopes.
For five miles along the rocky Ligurian coast, bounded by two headlands, there are 5 medieval villages suspended between sea and land, built on spurs of stone escape the attacks of pirates: Riomaggiore, Corniglia, Manarola, Vernazza and Monterosso.

  • Monterosso: the western most town of the Cinque Terre. In addition to the cliffs and crystal clear waters, its great beach favors very tourism. Visit the three medieval towers, the remains of the Castle of Obertenghi, the typical tower-houses and the Church of San Francesco;
  • Vernazza: one of the most powerful and influential villages of Cinque Terre, full of defensive structures, the Tower and the Castle of Doria (Genoese noble family);
  • Corniglia: located atop a rocky outcrop where you can enjoy a beautiful landscape, is the most mountain of the Cinque Terre. The climb is notoriously difficult because of the staircase “Lardarina” is consists of 33 ramps and 377 steps;
  • Manarola: perched on a promontory of dark rock, has some interesting monuments, such as the old gothic Church of San Lorenzo, the oratory of the specification and the bell tower;
  • Riomaggiore: the most easterly of the Cinque Terre. To visit the traditional tower-houses, colorful and develop in height on three or four floors;
    From here the romantic “Love Street”, which connects Manarola and Riomaggiore, a road cut in cliff above the sea.

The many scenic trails and paths are ideal for hiking or biking. It can also take walks, boat trips, visits to shrines between food and wine of first quality.
