Located on a pretty hillside near Badia a Passignano, the Fattoria Pratale is a pearl of the hospitality of the Chianti area. The residential complex is made up of two manors, Pratale I and Pratale II, divided in twenty-three independent apartments, tastefully furnished, that look out on the swimming pool and on the vineyards of the valley below. The nearby Firenze-Siena highway gives easy access to Tuscany’s artistic treasures, whiles the town of Sambuca, 3 km far away from the Farm, it has grocery stores and artisan's shops. Near the Farm there are many first-rate restaurants that propose Tuscan cuisine. The market that takes place every Thursday morning in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa is worth visiting, as well as the church of Badia a Passignano, with its cloister and its crypt that dates to the year 1000.

Fattoria Montignana has 11 apartments of the followings sizes:

- 1 apartment 1 room: living room with kitchen corner and a double sofa bed, bathroom.
- 2 apartments 2 rooms: 1 double bedroom, living room with a kitchen corner and a double sofa bed, bathroom.
- 8 apartments 3 rooms: 2 double bedrooms, living room with corner and a double sofa bed, bathroom.

Each apartment has outside its own patio/terrace with table and chairs. The client will find some bottles of wines produced by the farm

Location: 1km. from Mercatale, 5 km. from San Casciano, 15 km. from Florence.

Suggested route: Take the MI-Roma A1 motorway, exit at Firenze-Certosa, and take the Firenze-Siena highway to the S. Casciano exit. Drive through San Casciano, and at the third rotunda turn left at the sign of Mercatale. Straight on for other 100 meters upon reaching the main square of Mercatale; after a 1 km you will see a sign that says Fattoria Montignana.

In the historical “region” of Chianti Classico, Fattoria Montignana rises among the hills between San Casciano Val di Pesa and Greve in Chianti.
Fattoria Montignana is encircled by rows of magnificent vineyards and sweeping olive groves and surrounded by medieval castles, villas and churches from the fourteenth century. Here the wind glides the clouds away after rain and when through pours colour into the world. It’s like being in the middle of a Renaissance painting.
The manor has been completely restored and divided into eleven independent apartments of different sizes.
The furnishings of each apartment are characteristic of the typical rural Tuscan style, while at the same time affording every modern comfort. Each residence provides a lovely open area in which to enjoy breakfast in a serene setting and relax amidst the magnificent views of the surrounding landscapes.
The estate also offers its guests an expansive garden, a private swimming pool, laundry facilities, and the opportunity to rent mountain bikes and television sets.
Fattoria Montignana’s convenient location permits enriching excursions to the Tuscan cultural and artistic centres of Florence (20 km) and Siena (40 km), as well as to other jewels of the region as Monteriggioni, San Gimignano and Impruneta.
And at a distance of only one kilometre, guests may stroll or ride to the lovely little town of Mercatale Val di Pesa for their daily shopping needs.

- In case the cancellation occurs prior to 1 month before arrival of the customer, we will keep the 30% of the total reservation price
- Cancellation in the period between 1 month and 15 days before arrival of the customers: we will keep 50% of the total reservation price
- Cancellation from 15 to 2 days before arrival of the customers and no-shows: we will keep 70% of the total reservation price
- Cancellation 1 day before day of arrival or no-show: we will keep 100% of the total reservation price
