Quick description
Very recently and tastefully restored 3 star hotel situated just in front of the ancient “Rocca Roveresca” (the fortress where had lived the wealthy and titled family Della Rovere). The fully equipped rooms offer every comfort: private bathroom, TV, telephone and balcony with a panoramic view. La Palomba, welcomes its guests with a homely atmosphere and the typical traditional Italian cuisine, including local regional dishes.
The spacious dining-room is the ideal location either for business meetings and lunches or for wedding banquets and other ceremonies. Our pizza is backed in wood burning oven.
The Hotel & Restaurant La Palomba was first built at the beginning of the 1900's as a "locanda" (inn): a simply and rustic building made up of a small restaurant area and a few bedrooms on the upper floor. The inhabitants of Mondavio still retain a clear memory of this, and they keep on using the term "locanda" when referring to the Hotel even nowdays. The building passed through several restorations and enlargements to the present settlement realized in the early 90's. Family Cerisoli has been greatly running La Palomba since 1980 and will welcome you with a warm and pleasant atmosphere.

3 star hotel situated just in front of the ancient and imposing XV century "Rocca Roveresca" (the fortress where had lived the wealthy and titled family Della Rovere), steeped in the typical, well-preserved rinaissence surround of the historical city centre of Mondavio, the Hotel & Restaurant La Palomba is the ideal place for a delightful and relaxing holiday amongst tourism, culture and culinary art. All the rooms are provided with private bathroom, TV, telephon and balcony with a panoramic view. Furthermore, here you can find: a friendly family run, typical regional and Italian cuisine, a large dining room suitable for business lunches, receptions and buffets, pizzeria with wood oven. In summer you can enjoy the inner garden with a wide covered veranda with big screen or organize congresses and job meetings. Rooms to let are also available. Sitting at the restaurant you can taste typical truffel-based dishes, various sort of grilled meat, porcini mushrooms, piadine(a kind of bread typical of the Romagna region, made up of a very thin leaf of wheat flour, water, olive oil and salt), wood oven backed pizza's.

pappardelle al cinghiale (a sort of large fettuccine pasta with wild boar sauce),
cinghiale alla cacciatora (hunter's way wild boar), goose, roast sucking-rabbit, fowls, truffle rice with acacia strawberry-flavoured honey.

The offered/suggested courses include typical recipes of the Italian culinary tradition, in particular the ones coming from our region, Le Marche. Our wine menu is well provided and offers an interesting selection of regional and national wines, exquisitely matching with every dish on every special occasion. The dining room is suitable for congresses, business-lunches, meetings, receptions and private parties. The open-air garden with its veranda is perfect in summer. A Pizzeria with wood oven is also given.
